Fixed-wing aircraft
Agricultural aircraft, also called crop dusters, cover large areas in one pass: spraying, fertiliser topdressing and seeding. On flat, open country they are also used for wild dog baiting.
Spraying
Fixed-wing aircraft are usually chosen for large areas of open country. For wet paddocks, steep blocks or smaller areas, see drone spraying.
Spreading
Fertiliser topdressing over large areas, including pasture. For smaller blocks and wet ground, see drone seeding and spreading.
Seeding
Seed spread from the air over large areas. For smaller blocks, see drone seeding and spreading.
Baiting
The national procedure for aerial wild dog baiting names fixed-wing aircraft for flatter country and helicopters for rough country. For feral pig baiting in New South Wales, see Helicopters.
Firefighting and forestry work is not offered through this platform.
